Deserts of the Southwest, dried by the sun and graced by rain, are dramatic environments. Craig Childs, author of The Secret Knowledge of Water, has spent years in the deserts of Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado. His treks through these arid lands in search of water reveal the natural world at its most extreme.

We are Water will join libraries across the Four Corners Region in a regional celebration of World Water Day throughout the month of March. World Water Day, held on 22 March every year since 1993, focuses on the importance of freshwater in our communities.

World Water Day is March 22nd, but you can celebrate water all month long with STAR Net and CIRES Education & Outreach as we explore the extraordinary ways that water brings our communities together. This webinar is specially designed for libraries in the Four Corners Region of the United States. Join us as we explore how water, critical and scarce in the Four Corners Region, connects diverse communities through our shared place and unique stories.
